Payterse Terms of Service

You may only send money to recipients located in countries where Payterse operates. Payterse is not a bank and does not hold your funds but acts solely as a processor to facilitate money transfers. While the Service aims to be available 24/7, downtime due to maintenance or unforeseen outages may occur. Payterse may impose transaction limits and delay transactions for verification, security, or regulatory reasons, with prior notification where applicable. Transactions may be subject to additional processing times depending on the payment method, recipient’s financial institution, and regulatory requirements.

The applicable exchange rate will be displayed prior to confirmation and may fluctuate due to market conditions. The recipient may be subject to additional charges when receiving funds, depending on their financial institution or local regulations. In cases where a transaction is canceled or reversed, refund eligibility will be subject to the deduction of applicable fees.

5. User Information and Verification
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information, including payment details and recipient information. Payterse may require identity verification for compliance with financial regulations and fraud prevention measures. Transactions may be blocked or canceled if verification fails, fraudulent activity is suspected, or regulatory compliance is not met. Payterse reserves the right to request additional information or documentation for verification purposes at any time.

6. Prohibited Uses
The Service may not be used for illegal activities, including but not limited to gambling, money laundering, terrorist financing, or other illicit financial activities. The Service is intended for personal use and cannot be used for unauthorized commercial purposes or bulk transactions without prior approval. Additional documentation may be required to ensure compliance with these restrictions and regulatory requirements.

Payterse reserves the right to refuse any transaction at its sole discretion, without providing a detailed explanation. Transactions may be refused due to exceeding transaction limits, payment method issues, suspected fraud, non-compliance with regulatory requirements, or any other security concerns.

Payterse is not responsible for delays or errors caused by factors beyond its control, such as power outages, banking system failures, network disruptions, or inaccurate information provided by you. Payterse’s liability is limited to the refund of the transaction amount and any associated fees, where applicable. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties, express or implied, regarding its functionality, performance, or availability. Payterse is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Dispute Resolution and Termination
You must report transaction errors within the timeframe specified on the Payterse website. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, as outlined in Payterse’s arbitration procedures available on the website or application. Payterse reserves the right to terminate your access to the Service for any violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or failure to comply with legal or regulatory requirements.

You agree to receive electronic communications from Payterse, including emails, SMS notifications, and in-app messages. Payterse may use these communications for transactional updates, service changes, security alerts, or promotional messages. You may opt out of promotional communications, but essential service notifications will continue to be sent.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts, except where arbitration applies.
